유진섭 전북 정읍시장이 일가족 코로나19 집단감염 사태와 관련 "더 이상의 확산을 차단하기 위한 방역에 모든 행정력을 총동원할 것"이라며 "내 가족과 이웃의 안전을 위해 마스크 착용 등 사회적 거리 두기에 적극 동참해 줄 것"을 당부하는 긴급 기자회견을 가졌다.

6일 시청 다목적공간에서 마련한 브리핑에 앞서 유 시장은 "코로나19 바이러스 감염증 지역 유입 및 확산 차단을 위해 고강도의 방역 대책을 시행 중인 상황임에도 불구하고 지역에서 확진자가 속출하는 우려했던 상황이 벌어졌다"며 "심층적이고 신속한 역학조사를 통해 정확한 감염경로를 밝히는 동시에 지역사회 추가 확산 방지를 위해 후속 조치를 철저히 시행하겠다"고 약속했다.

아울러 "방역 대책을 고강도로 보완ㆍ강화하는 등 유사시 신속한 대응 태세를 유지해 시민 불편을 최소화할 방침"이라고 밝혔다.

정읍시는 이에 따라, 도내 최초로 '동일 집단 격리' 조치라는 초강수의 카드를 선택했다.

이 같은 조치는 도내 133번째 환자로 분류된 30대 여성인 A씨의 시어머니인 B씨(도내 135번)와 마을회관에서 접촉하는 과정에 이웃인 70대 여성인 C씨(도내 143번째)에게 바이러스가 전파돼 6일 '양성' 판정을 받았기 때문이다.

특히, B씨와 C씨가 생활하고 있는 마을 특성상 코로나19 감염증에 취약한 고령층이 많아 자칫 방역 차단이 감당할 수 없는 수준까지 확산될 수 있는 상황을 배제할 수 없다고 판단해 오는 19일까지 감염자가 발생한 장소에 거주하는 이웃끼리 접촉을 금지하고 마을 밖으로 이동을 제한하는 조치를 내렸다.

또, 영유아보육법에 따라 어린이집(60개소)과 지역아동센터(30개소)의 휴원을 결정했다.

다만, 맞벌이 등으로 불가피하게 가정에서 아이를 돌볼 수 없는 경우 예외적으로 긴급보육을 허용할 방침이다.

이와 함께, 오는 18일까지 지역 내 노인시설 879개소와 장애인시설 17개소 역시 휴관하고 노인일자리 사업 역시 전면 중단된다.

또한, 건강 취약계층의 감염 예방과 시민들의 안전을 위해 지역자활센터 등 다중이용시설 도 휴관이 결정됐고 지역사회 투자서비스사업도 잠정적으로 중단한다.

아울러, 정읍시는 마스크 착용ㆍ사람 간 두 팔 간격 거리 두기ㆍ30초 이상 손 씻기 등 생활방역수칙 및 모임과 회식 등을 자제하고 발열과 호흡기 증상 등의 의심 증상이 있을 경우 보건소 선별진료소를 방문해 검사를 받을 것을 SNS로 집중적으로 홍보한다는 방침이다.
