전북 김제시가 특장차 전문단지를 중심으로 지역 성장거점 조성을 골자로 한국토지주택공사(LH)-전북연구원과 지역(농촌) 재생을 위한 기본협약을 체결했다.

 

23일 한국토지주택공사 전북본부 중회의실에서 체결된 협약식을 통해 박준배 김제시장ㆍ한국토지주택공사 변창흠 사장ㆍ김선기 전북연구원장 등은 백구 특장차 2단지 및 배후단지 공동 조성에 따른 주거단지와 생활SOC 통합개발 등 지역맞춤 사업 발굴에 따른 의지를 모았다.

 

특히, 국가균형발전 정책 일환으로 김제시의 인구감소와 고령화 및 지역쇠퇴 등 당면 과제를 해소하는 동시에 농촌 활력 증진에 이바지함을 목적으로 서로의 역할과 협력방안을 협약서에 구체적으로 명시했다.

 

이날 협약에 따라, 3개 기관은 특장차 전문단지 공동 조성 및 산업단지 정주기능 거점화 필요에 따른 배후거점도시 조성을 위한 1단계 사업을 통해 향후 주거ㆍ일자리ㆍ생활SOC 등 퍠키지 사업을 발굴해 2단계~3단계로 추진과제를 확장해나갈 계획이다.

 

또 ▲ 김제시-특장차혁신클러스터(투자선도지구) 공동조성ㆍ임대주택 건설 지원ㆍ공모사업 발굴 및 시행 ▲ LH-투자선도지구 공동조성ㆍ임대주택건설 추진ㆍ공모사업 발굴 및 협력 ▲ 전북연구원-시범사업과제 연구 및 제안ㆍ전문가 자문 수행 등이 세부 협력사항으로 담겼다.

 

박준배 김제시장은 협약식에 앞서 환담을 나누는 시간을 통해 "산업단지 및 지원 단지 개발협력을 시작으로 각 기관이 더욱 공고한 신뢰와 협력체계를 구축해 지역맞춤형 사업이 지속 발굴될 수 있도록 모든 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"는 의지를 밝혔다.
