전북소방본부가 23년간 운영한 BK117-B2(일본 가와사키사) 노후 헬기를 대체하기 위해 신형 다목적 중형 소방헬기 구매계약 체결을 완료했다.

 

신형 다목적 중형 소방헬기는 2022년 12월까지 도입을 완료하고 현장에 배치해 항공 구조ㆍ구급 임무를 수행할 예정이다.

 

이번에 계약이 체결된 헬기는 이탈리아 레오나르도에서 제작한 AW-139 헬기로 현재 소방ㆍ해경ㆍ민간항공사 등이 운용하고 있는 헬기로 구조 임무 적합성과 안전성이 검증된 최신 기종이다.

 

특히, 완전자동비행 및 야간투시경(NVG) 장치가 탑재돼 주ㆍ야간 임무 수행이 가능하고 대한민국 전역 전자 지도ㆍ전방 시야 확보 장비(EVS)ㆍ향상형 지상 충돌 경보 장비(EGPWS)ㆍ공중충돌 경고 장비(TCASII) 등을 보유해 안전한 항공구조 임무 수행이 가능하다.
