Jeonbuk-do 'Offshore wind power business attraction business agreement' signed

Green New Deal·Value Chain Establishment… 5 companies including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. participated

Reporter Lee Yohan

Jeollabuk-do took its first step to build a green new deal and offshore wind power value chain.

On the 17th, Jeonbuk-do signed a'Jeonbuk Offshore Wind Power Company Business Agreement' with five companies including turbine manufacturers to attract investment in offshore wind power related companies.

The agreement was made domestically in the creation of the Jeonbuk offshore wind power generation complex with representatives of Hajin Song, three turbine manufacturers, including Doosan Heavy Industries, Hyosung Heavy Industries, and Unison, and two tower structures such as CS Wind and Samgang M&T. This was done by setting the scope and role of cooperation between Jeonbuk-do and related companies to expand the spread of wind power generators, foster related industries, and develop regional development.

According to the agreement, Jeonbuk-do actively supports the application of the offshore wind power generator to the project under the premise of the successful development of offshore wind power generators being developed by each turbine company, and administrative and financial support to attract investment by offshore wind power parts and equipment manufacturers in the province. Provides.

The contracting company plans to produce wind turbines in the metropolitan area through investment when a certain amount of supply is secured.

In particular, the five companies that participated in the agreement are manufacturers of turbines, substructures, and towers, which are key equipment necessary for the construction of the offshore wind power value chain in Jeonbuk, and invest in the installation of production plants when the quantity allocation is confirmed in the offshore wind power complex in the province.

Governor Ha-jin Song said, "We will actively support companies participating in the agreement to successfully settle down through the creation of the Jeonbuk offshore wind power generation complex through the creation of the offshore wind power complex in Jeonbuk." By establishing a value chain, Jeonbuk will lead the Green New Deal and leap forward as the center of the offshore wind industry."

Jeonbuk-do is expected to increase demand for offshore wind power equipment such as turbines ▲ towers ▲ substructures ▲ blades as projects such as offshore wind power generation complex (2.4GW) and offshore wind power generation complex (2GW) near Gunsan Eocheongdo are being promoted in earnest. I'm expecting.

In addition, it is predicted that it will be advantageous in terms of attracting companies because of its excellent geographical accessibility in supplying quantities for offshore wind power projects promoted in Incheon and Chungnam as the center of the west coast.

In addition, when companies participating in the agreement establish factories in the province, they become the center of the offshore wind power industry and become the center of the offshore wind power industry. It is expected to contribute greatly to the creation and development of the stagnant regional economy.

On the other hand, the southwest offshore wind farm will invest 14 trillion won on 2.4GW of business by 2028 to create 90,000 jobs, 23 trillion won economic incentive effect, attract 30 offshore wind power companies, and act as a driving force for environmental conservation through carbon emission reduction. Is expected to do.

2GW The offshore wind power generation complex near Eocheong-do, Gunsan, invested 3.5 billion won in national expenditure from next year to 2022, and after 2023 through the procedures to measure wind condition resources at suitable locations for offshore wind power, survey the marine environment, and secure resident acceptance, Plan to promote.
