Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, provides jobs to citizens suffering from economic difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 outbreak, while providing employment support to newly hired companies to relieve the shortage of manpower.

Jeonju City announced on the 12th that "We are recruiting companies to participate in the Youth Employment 2000 Project and the 4060 New Year Employment Support Project by the 29th."

The support targets are projects that provide partial salary for up to one year to companies that newly hire young people aged 18-39 and unemployed people aged 40-65.

This project aims to recruit 20 young adults and 27 new middle-aged people.

Jeonju City plans to pay 500,000 won to 650,000 won per month to companies that hire young people as employment subsidies, and 700,000 won per month to companies hiring Shinshin-nyeon.

Along with this, employment incentives of up to 3 million won and up to 2 million won for new and middle-aged adults are also paid separately to young adults for up to two years so that the employed who participate in the project can continue to work for a long time.

Eligibility for application is limited to companies that subscribe to employment insurance with three or more regular workers in Jeonju, and have plans to hire additional regular workers in addition to regular employees, and that can pay more than 1.82 million won per month (over 1.8 million won for youth employment 2000 projects).

Companies wishing to participate can download the relevant documents from the Jeonju City website and apply to the Jeonju City Hall Youth Policy Division and Startup Job Team by bringing the required documents along with the application form.

Jeonju City Jobs and Youth Policy Manager Kim Bong-jeong said, "Through this support project, I am confident that small and medium-sized businesses will have an opportunity to hire excellent human resources by increasing their understanding of the company and gaining experience through working at a company.” We will continue to do our best to resolve the mismatch."
