Imsil-gun, separate payment of youth housing benefits

Generations with unmarried children aged 19 to under 30… Application acceptance

Reporter Yoon-cheol Koo

Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do, provides housing allowances for unmarried children in their twenties who live separately from their parents for the purpose of studying or finding a job.

This system, which is paid separately from the housing allowance paid to parents, was created this year to improve the existing system that was not provided with rent because it was organized into one household even though the actual parents and the residence were different.

The upper limit of the separate payment of residential benefits is paid differently for each region where the child resides (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Metropolitan City, Sejong City, and other regions).

Imsil-gun expects that it will be of great help to low-income youth who are suffering from difficulties such as improvement of poor housing conditions and the burden of school expenses through the separate payment of youth housing allowance, and to the vulnerable who are having a difficult time with Corona 19.

Applicants are unmarried children aged 19 years or older and under 30 years of age in households receiving housing benefits, and those who have a different residence from their parents.

Separate residence criteria are cases where the address of the parents and children is different from the city/gun (excluding counties within the jurisdiction of the metropolitan city).

The current rental benefit calculation method is applied to the method of applying the recognized income and living benefit selection criteria.

However, the self-burden and the application of the standard rental fee are applied separately according to the purpose of separate payment.

The application can be made at the local eup/myeon office under the jurisdiction of the parent's address, and the resident registration address of the young person must be placed in the place where the young person actually signs a lease contract.

For example, a three-person household consisting of children in their 20s, whose parents reside in Imsil-gun and have an address in Seoul, receives a general housing salary of 217,000 won per month.

However, when the youth housing benefit is applied, parents in Imsil receive 183,000 won per month, and children in Seoul receive 310,000 won per month.

For other details, contact the Housing and Land Division of Imsil-gun Office or the Eup/Myeon office or the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Housing Benefit Call Center.

"Separate payment of housing benefits for young people is expected to help the youth in their twenties in the region reduce the burden of rent and prepare for study and employment to help them design a stable future." "I will do my best for the policy."

On the other hand, Imsil-gun, for the purpose of improving housing stability and housing standards for the vulnerable last year, paid government and capital expenses for rent and maintenance costs for 1,154 rental and self-employed households with a standard median income of 45% or less (2.19 million won for a household of 4). Including, a total of 1.4 billion won was provided.

In order to keep pace with the government support standards, including a budget of 1.6 billion won, an increase of 200 million won, taking into account the youth housing benefit support cost, which will be implemented for the first time this year, the standard rent, which is the maximum amount of rent that was supported by families, was 6% compared to the previous year. It was raised to a maximum of 253,000 won for a 4-person household.
