전북 전주시설공단이 노인 일자리 사업을 통해 교통약자 이동권을 강화한다.

전주시설공단은 16일 어르신 일자리 사업 수행기관으로 선정된 전주서원시니어클럽과 '업무협약'을 체결했다.

이날 체결된 업무협약은 60세 이상 노인 24명이 오는 12월까지 어울림버스 승객들의 승ㆍ하차를 돕는 도우미 역할이 골자로 담겼다.

어울림버스는 거동이 불편한 장애인과 고령의 노인 등 교통약자의 이동을 돕는 노선버스로 '이지콜'택시와 함께 공단이 운행하는 교통약자 이동지원 차량이다.

어울림버스 승객들은 승ㆍ하차 도우미의 도움으로 보다 편리하게 버스에 타고 내릴 수 있게 됐다.

구대식 이사장은 "전주시 교통약자의 안전과 편리한 버스 이용을 도와드리기 위해 장애인 일자리 사업의 일환으로 현재 장애인 2명이 어울림버스 승하차 지원 서비스를 제공하고 있다"며 "앞으로도 지역 각 기관 및 단체와 유기적인 협력을 통해 다양한 공모사업을 추진하는 등 지속적으로 상생 경영 실천에 앞장서겠다"고 밝혔다.
