이번 선호도 조사는 올해 공개모집을 통해 구성한 18명의 위원(추천위)에게 추천받은 86권의 도서 가운데 전주독서대전 실무기획단 선정위원 회의를 거쳐 총 4부문 12권(어린이 그림ㆍ어린이 글ㆍ청소년ㆍ일반 등 각 3권)의 후보 도서를 선정해 진행됐다.
