한국치즈과학고가 내년부터 '협약형 특성화고'로 전환된다.

 

전북자치도교육청은 "한국치즈과학고가 치즈 분야와 미생물ㆍ바이오 분야 지역인재 양성 등을 핵심으로 교육부의 '2024년 협약형 특성화 고등학교'에 최종 선정됐다"고 20일 밝혔다.

 

'협약형 특성화고'는 지자체ㆍ시도교육청ㆍ산업체ㆍ특성화고 컨소시엄이 상호 간 협약을 바탕으로 지역 산업에 특화한 직업계 고등학교 교육과정을 운영하는 자율학교다.

 

지역ㆍ국가에 필요한 특수 산업 분야와 지역전략산업 인재를 육성하기 위한 중등 직업교육의 새로운 선도모델로 마이스터고에 준하는 특성화고 육성 정책이다.

 

교육부는 지난 1월 신사업으로 협약형 특성화 고등학교 육성계획을 발표했으며 전국 15개 지역 37개교가 신청했다.
