전북 전주 예수병원과 한국기독교의료선교회ㆍ국제의료협력단(PMCI)이 3일간의 일정으로 전국 간호대생 25명을 초청 '제2회 선교캠프'를 개최했다.

이번 선교캠프는 지역의료 및 공공보건의료 현장에서 역량을 발휘할 미래 공공보건의료 인력의 인재양성 및 예수병원 의료진의 역할과 그들의 현장을 소개하는 형식으로 진행됐다.

특히 선교병원에서 근무하는 의료인이 가져야 할 마음가짐을 새기는 기회로 승화돼 각별한 의미를 담아냈다.

국제의료협력단(PMCI) 김병선 대표는 "선교병원의 중심에 있는 예수병원이 품고 있는 정체성에 관심을 갖고 '선교병원과 함께 의료선교를 그리다'는 슬로건으로 진행한 선교캠프에 참여한 여러분들이 있기에 125년 동안 이어온 예수병원의 의료선교 미래가 밝아질 것으로 믿어 의심치 않는다"고 격려했다.
