전북 군산해경이 관행처럼 이뤄지는 무허가 실뱀장어 불법조업 근절을 통한 어업질서 확립을 위해 특별단속을 실시한다.

군산해양경찰서는 "본격적인 실뱀장어 조업 시기에 맞춰 오는 5월 27일까지 수사전담반(형사2계)을 편성해 운영한다"고 16일 밝혔다.

특히 불법 조업에 사용한 어구와 어획물은 증거물로 전량 압수하는 동시에 항로상에서 이뤄지는 불법조업 행위 및 고질적인 사범의 경우 구속수사를 원칙으로 적용하고 소형어선과 뜰채 등을 이용한 실뱀장어 불법조업이 야간에 이뤄지고 있는 만큼, 이에 따른 단속도 한층 강화한다.
