대통령 직속 국가교육위원회는 13일 전북교육청 청사 2층 강당에서 '미래 교육 현장 소통 간담회'를 개최했다.

전북교육청과 공동으로 마련한 이날 간담회에는 서거석 교육감을 비롯 지역 학부모와 교사 대표 등이 참석한 가운데 지난해 출범한 국교위가 국가교육발전계획 수립의 첫걸음으로 지역 교육 현장의 목소리를 듣고 지역사회가 체감할 수 있는 교육 방향을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

서거석 교육감과 이배용 위원장 등은 ▲ 전북 미래교육 환경 구축 ▲ 교원 정원 정책 ▲ 교육 과정과 연계한 대입제도 개선 방안 ▲ 교사와 학생 인권의 균형과 조화 ▲ 작은학교 살리기 등 다양한 현안 및 애로사항과 의견을 청취하는 시간을 가졌다.

국교위 이배용 위원장은 이날 모두발언을 통해 "학령인구 급감ㆍ디지털 대전환 등 급변하는 환경 속에서 교육격차 해소와 미래인재 양성 등 다양한 교육 현안에 직면하고 있다"며 "교육 현안은 사회 여러 분야 및 지역 발전과 긴밀히 연계된 복합적인 과제로 지역사회와 함께 머리를 맞대고 풀어나갈 필요가 있다"고 강조했다.
