2023년 새만금 '제25회 세계스카우트 잼버리'가 60일 앞으로 다가왔다.

 

'너의 꿈을 펼쳐라' 라는 주제로 2023년 8월 1일부터 12일간 전라북도 새만금에서 세계스카우트연맹(WOSM)과 한국스카우트연맹(KSA) 주최로 열린다.

 

전북 새만금에서 열리는 '제25회 세계스카우트 잼버리'는 잼버리 역대 최대 최고 규모인 170여 개국에서 43,000명의 청소년과 지도자들이 여의도 면적의 3배에 이르는 270만평의 새만금 야영장에 모여 지구촌 청소년 축제를 연출한다.

국제결혼ㆍ이주민ㆍ외국인 노동자 등의 증가로 다양한 인종과 언어ㆍ문화ㆍ종교를 가진 사람들이 공존하면서 다문화적 변화의 특징을 두드러지게 나타내고 있다.

 

현재, 우리나라 다문화 학생 수는 2017년 109,387명에서 2022년에는 168,645명으로 2017년에 비해 54.2%가 증가한 것으로 집계됐다(제4차 다문화가족정책 기본계획 참조 = 2023년 4월).
