12일 전북경찰청은 "'연말ㆍ연시'와 '단계적 일상 회복'에 따라, 술자리가 늘어나면서 자칫 음주운전이 증가할 수 있다고 보고 내년 1월 31일까지 유흥가ㆍ상가밀집지역 및 음주운전 사고 다발지역 주변 도로에서 집중 단속을 추진한다"고 밝혔다.

특히, 단속 첫날인 오는 15일 도내 15개 경찰서 및 고속도로순찰대가 진ㆍ출입로 및 휴게소에서 일제단속을 진행하고 유흥가와 식당가 등 지역별 음주운전 위험지역을 중심으로 단속 시간과 장소를 수시로 변경하는 방식으로 음주운전 근절 분위기를 조성한다는 방침이다.
