전북경찰청이 2023 새만금 제25회 세계스카우트잼버리 성공 개최를 위해 총력을 기울이고 있는 가운데 외국인에 대한 통역 및 지리 안내에 특화된 전문 관광 경찰을 투입, 한국경찰 역량을 발휘하고 있다.

잼버리 관광경찰대는 ▲ 서울 29명 ▲ 부산 7명 ▲ 인천 4명 등 총 40명이 지원팀 3명ㆍ순찰팀 36명에 스타렉스 6대로 편성돼 운영되고 있다.

특히 영어 22명ㆍ중국어 6명ㆍ일어 5명ㆍ프랑스어 1명ㆍ인도네시아어 1명ㆍ베트남어 1명 등이 영지 내외 순찰 및 경찰 홍보 부스와 영외활동 장소에서 외국인 범죄예방 및 치안서비스를 제공한다.
