전북 부안군 동부에 자리 잡은 주산면의 역사가 올곧이 담긴 주산면지(面誌) '물ㆍ땅ㆍ사람의 주산' 편찬기념회가 13일 행정복지센터 3층 대강당에서 성황리에 개최됐다.

 

'주산면지'는 지난 역사를 되짚어보고 다가올 미래 100년의 등불을 밝히기 위해 역사와 문화의 뿌리를 되찾고 면민의 애향심 고취 및 후손에게 올바른 정신문화를 물려주기 위해 발간했다.

 

특히 '지역민들의 힘으로 만들자'는 뜻이 자연스럽게 결집되면서 면민과 출향인 등 100여명이 총 1억3,800만원을 협찬해 각별한 의미가 담겼다.

 

'미래를 여는 새로운 출발!'을 주제로 마련된 이날 편찬기념회는 권익현 부안군수와 김광수 부안군의회 의장을 비롯 전북도의회 김정기ㆍ김슬지 의원 및 지역 군의원과 집필진ㆍ편찬위원ㆍ협찬자ㆍ지역 향토사학자ㆍ면민 등 200여명이 참석한 가운데 '주산면지' 편찬을 축하했다.
