전북 임실군의 명예를 높이고 지역 발전에 기여한 군민을 발굴ㆍ선정하는 '제42회 군민의 장' 수상자가 확정됐다.

 

임실군은 "지난 21일 군민의 장 심사위원회를 개최해 문화체육장ㆍ산업ㆍ공익새마을장ㆍ애향장ㆍ효열 등 5개 부문 수상자를 결정했다"고 25일 밝혔다.

 

특히 수상자 선정에 앞서 객관성과 공정성을 확보하기 위해 현지실사와 각계각층으로 구성된 '군민의 장' 심사위원회 등의 절차를 거쳐 최종 확정했다.

 

올해는 애향장과 효열장에서 공동 수상자가 선정됐다.

 

수상자 공적을 살펴보면 문화체육장 부문 정인기씨(강진면)는 전(前) 강진면체육회 회장으로 강진면 복지회관 체력단련실 조성에 앞장서는 등 본인 소유 운동기구를 주민 모두가 사용할 수 있도록 기부하는 등 지역 주민들의 건강과 체력 증진에 기여한 공로를 인정 받았다.
